Monday April 11th:   The  Long Ride

Start of a new week as the riders in the epic Long Ride left Port Augusta heading for Ceduna in South Australia this morning.   Prostate Cancer and the importance of regular checks is the message these riders are promoting.

They’re raising money and awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation by joining together and riding from all parts of Australia toward Margaret River in Western Australia.One of the riders, Linda Mc Nab outlines how and why she became involved in The Long Ride.

Every man should know this, but do they?.   Prostate Cancer is a killer, if left unchecked.  DSCN0848So to make men aware, motorbike riders in the Long Ride are spreading the word and raising money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation by joining together and riding from all parts of Australia toward Margaret River in Western Australia.  This morning they left Broken Hill and headed off to Port Augusta in South Australia.  One of the riders, Terry Lubomirski speaks about the ride and Brian Harmsworth firstly talks about their message and what men should be aware of when it comes to Prostate Cancer.  Have a listen:

Prostate Cancer: Everyman needs to be aware. Thats the message as more teams have joined  THE LONG RIDE  and headed off from Nyngan N.S.W. this morning, Saturday April 9th.  Keeping everyone informed on their progress, Terry Lubomirski one of those riders and heres the details on the day’s events.

Friday April 8th

After leaving Moree this morning, the S.E.Qld   contingent of the Long Ride have been back on the road and heading to Nyngan inland N.S.W. Let’s find out how the rider are travelling :

Thursday April 7th

Passionate to the cause, Australian  motorbike riders from varying backgrounds, states and territories ride together for a charity event, known as The Long Ride.  The S.E. Qld contingent have made Moree N.S.W. Terry speaks about the first day.

All with the aim of raising as much money and awareness as they can for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. One of the Queensland contingent, Terry Lubomirski from Rosewood, in south east Queensland explains the background, and the overall story of what has evolved into one of Australia’s great charity events, known as The Long Ride. Colly Dolly is proud to provide the background and this communication page for THE LONG RIDE, raising money and awareness for The Prostate Cancer Foundation.
